In the Web Site Analysis step you account manager
studies your site for potential search terms and landing
pages.
Search Term Analysis and
Selection includes both human evaluation and the use of
software tools to derive the largest number of terms and
permutations to give your site the largest possible
exposure. These terms are then broken down into categories
for bidding. For instance general terms will be normally
bid at a lower rate (giving a lower rank) than the more
specific or niche' terms. Other aspects we look for are the
potential ROI from a specified term, the competitiveness of
bidding and the search volume.
Ad Copy
Writing
is as important to getting the correct click through public
as the choice and positioning of search terms. Each PPC
search engine has their on rules with regard to word usage
and length of ad. We work with you on this step to ensure
ads are created which best represent your company and the
product or service you deliver.
With Bid and Rank
Evaluation we decide on the proper bids and ranking
based on the quality of the search term, bid price, number
of monthly searches and your overall budget. As with other
aspects of PPC management this is done on a continuous basis
with changes adjudicated by return on investment and changes
in the competition's bidding structure.
In the Account Set-up
step we take the steps necessary to set up your accounts in
all the agreed upon PPC search engines. Your search terms
are submitted with the proper title and description, bids
and positioning.
Account Management
is a continuing
process of monitoring bids and ranks, click-through, total
monthly spend on each search engine and (when possible for
that particular site) conversion tracking.
Each of the major pay per
clicks has agreements with partners and affiliate sites that
will place their advertisers ads on Content pages of
their sites often next to articles that apply to that
particular product or service. In managing an account is
important to watch the number of clicks and potential return
on investment from the content advertising. This area is
one of the most vulnerable to click fraud.
Conversion Tracking
can be used on any site that has an order form or anything
other kind of sign up form such as a request for more
information or newsletter request. A simple code is placed
on the confirmation page allowing the search engine to keep
track of which search terms are contributing the
conversions. This helps with the par per click management
but obviously does not track people who have called without
filling out a form.
